As a serial entrepreneur, Don Vaccaro has started businesses in several industries over the course of the past 30 years, including ticket resale, lending, and real estate. In addition to the companies he has started, Don is a founding member of the Connecticut Ticket Brokers Association and was also founder and first president of the Massachusetts Ticket Brokers Association. In 2006 he founded Ticket Summit, the leading ticketing industry trade show and conference.
Don is CEO and Co-Founder of TicketNetwork®, Inc., one of the leading online ticket exchanges in the country. Founded in February 2002 with CTO and Co-Founder Doug Kruse, the company operates a number of retail properties, including its signature retail website ticketnetwork.com. TicketNetwork’s exchange displays more than $5 billion in event ticket inventory to 80,000 concert, sports, and theater events.
In addition to its retail operations, TicketNetwork develops the TicketNetwork® Point-of-Sale, the industry’s leading ticketing software, which enables resellers to list and sell inventory on the company’s exchange.
TicketNetwork is a major Connecticut employer with over 400 employees who work out of the company’s 200,000 sq ft. building, located on a 50-acre campus in South Windsor, CT.
Founded by Don in 1988, Ticket Galaxy is the sports and entertainment industry’s leading source for tickets on the secondary ticket market. Ticket Galaxy has industry-wide distribution for its inventory across all major marketplaces. In addition, the company has partnerships in all major industries, including sports leagues, college athletics, and concert promotions, and provides assistance in pricing strategy, data analysis, customer service, and marketing. In 2015, Ticket Galaxy become the official secondary ticket partner of the Harlem Globetrotters.
Ticket Galaxy employs a staff of more than 100 full-time employees from its office in South Windsor, CT. Employees work in many areas, including customer service, inventory control, fulfillment, and business development.
Don is the founder and CEO of RCN Capital, providing oversight and strategic strategy and vision for the company. Launched in 2010, RCN is a nationwide, direct private lender providing short-term loans to real estate investors. Loans from RCN Capital have been used to fund the purchase of non-owner occupied residential and commercial properties, provide bridge loans, finance new construction, and provide real estate-backed lines of credit. The company also lends money to ticket brokers to assist in purchasing inventory.
RCN Capital employs a team of over 25 employees as loan processors, specialists, accountants, and more in its office in South Windsor, CT.
DJV Real Estate LLC. was established Aug 2015 as the property management company for Don’s rental properties. Properties managed by the company include large and small commercial buildings with office space, industrial units in a range of sizes, as well as residential, seasonal, water front, and vacation rentals in Connecticut and Nantucket Island, Massachusetts.
